We recently lost a member of the Capitol Drywall family. Elias Romero passed away while on vacation in Bolivia, and his coworkers miss him immensely.
Vice President of Field Operations Cam Sokoloff wrote the following to Capitol Drywall employees, “It’s with saddened heart I write this, one of our long time employees passed away while on vacation in Bolivia. Elias Romero started working for Capitol Drywall Inc. in 2005. He worked with [Foreman] Kerry for many years, was a valuable employee that could always be counted on, worked well with others, and he always wanted to shake my hand and do so with a smile. He will be greatly missed. He leaves behind a wife, Carmen Rosa Gonzales, and 2 sons, Marvin, 16 years old, and Justin, 5 years old.”
UPDATE
We recently put together a collection for the Romero family, and we were happy to see Carmen Rosa, Marvin, and Justin again. Our thoughts remain with the Romero family and we will always remember Elias.
